Ludum Dare 26 happened last weekend and the theme was Minimalism!
I made a game with Chevy Ray about little stuffed animals that you can feed, toss around and kill. <3
What does that have to do with Minimalism, you ask? That’s obvious:
Minimal = Mini Animal!
Chevy made the game using Unity, during the 72 hours of the event.
I helped him with the art, and we used some great music by Kevin MacLeod.
Here’s the link to play it on Kongregate!
And if you also participated in this LD, here’s the link to play and rate. :)
I had lots of fun doing and playing this! :D
Saint’s Ludum Dare Game: Katana Senpou
Again, I joined the Ludum Dare and made a game in 48 hours!
This Ludum Dare theme(minimalism) gave me the idea to do the simplest game that I could think of! The game is Katana Senpou, meaning… well, I don’t know. Actually I was hoping that it doesn’t mean anything. The game is a tribute to some other games Like Kirby Superstar and Alex Kidd and to some cheesy Samurai/Karate movies and animes.
The game is very simple, you are one of two samurai dueling by the sunset (or by the moon, sometimes) and the first one to attack after the signal wins (just like Samurai Kirby) but with a twist, you must also choose a move, something like Rock, Paper, Scissors, the samurais clash their swords and get ready for the next attack.
You can play it HERE!
or rate it HERE at the official post, if you made a game for Ludum Dare too!
And here’s a couple screenshots:
Ops, I think I’m still learning how to use Tumblr here. I think that I just accidentally deleted an answer to a question here. If you are having any trouble running Out There Somewhere, please, feel free to send us an email: email@example.com
